Grand Medical Camp: FFI to Serve the Community at Mengo Senior School

About This Event

Under the patronage of Major General Katumba Wamala and the chairmanship of Engineer Hajji Isaac Ngobya, the Former Footballers Initiative (FFI) will organize a landmark medical camp. This event will serve as a testament to our commitment to "Life After Football," demonstrating how legends can use their influence to improve community well-being. Projected Impact: We aim to reach over 1,000 individuals, providing them with free medical attention over the two-day period. The camp will address critical health issues affecting the general public and families of former footballers. Furthermore, we plan to conduct a massive blood donation drive in partnership with Nakasero Blood Bank to support accident victims and sickle cell patients. Services to be Provided: The camp will offer a comprehensive range of free services, including: General Consultations: A qualified team will provide check-ups for hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, and more. Cancer Screening: We will perform prostate cancer screenings (PSA & DRE) for men over 40 and cervical cancer screenings for women. Reproductive Health: Experts will offer family planning advice and STI screenings. Eye Care: Specialized screening will be provided by ASG Eye Care. Medication Dispensing: Essential drugs for malaria and chronic conditions will be distributed free of charge. Ceremonies & Leadership The event will be officially opened by Mr. Augustine Tamale (New Vision Chief Financial Controller) alongside Rtn. Stella Margaret Davis. The closing ceremony will be presided over by FIFA Representative Mr. Patrick Ntege, reinforcing FUFA's continued support for initiatives leveraging sports for health. We look forward to partnering with medical doctors Dr. Ssaka Mustafa and Dr. Muwonge Jabura to make this event a success.
