The Final Farewell: Official Send-Off for Capt. Polly Ouma

The Former Footballers Initiative (FFI), in conjunction with FUFA and the family, announces the official funeral program for the late Captain Polly Ouma. The legend, who served as the FFI Northern Region Representative and captained Uganda to continental glory, will be honored in a series of events spanning Kampala and Busia. We invite the football fraternity, government officials, and the general public to pay their last respects to a man who gave his all for the Black, Yellow, and Red flag. Highlights of the Program: Lying in State: A service will be held at his residence in Kitintale, Luzira. Spiritual Send-off: A dedicated church service will be held at Mengo Senior School Chapel. Football Fraternity Tribute: The body will be brought to Kadiba Grounds, Mengo, allowing the sports community to bid farewell on the pitch, a place he called home. Final Rest: Captain Ouma will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Busia Bumungi on January 3rd, 2026. We urge all mourners to keep time and adhere to the protocol befitting a national hero.
